Mountain of Dreams history

I arrived in France at the age of 9, currently I am living in Poissy where I have the chance to raise my three children.

Former student at the School of Fine Arts in Dijon, in 2002 I decided to return to Japan to continue to acquire skills in fashion design.

I worked as a Japanese / French performer in the field of fashion (Lanvin, Damir Doma, Ryuzo Nakata) and in the domain of television media (Gallilé Production, and others).

It was when I became the happy mother of Herman, Corentin and then Eléonore that I was able to start creating again. This magnificent upheaval allowed me to reveal myself as an artist.

Mountain of Dreams is also born from a melt of Japanese and French culture.

Why Fish…

The marine environment is very present in Japan. The Japanese diet is mostly based on the resources of the sea, so it is normal to find a fish as emblem of this country: Koi carp. Koi fish, synonymous of courage, symbolises perseverance in the face of adversity and the ability to achieve high goals. This aquatic animal has many symbolic meanings in many cultures throughout history.

In China, fish and rice represent fertility as well as abundance because of their ability to reproduce in speed and volume. In Far Eastern imagery, fish go in pairs and are therefore symbols of union. And Islam also associates the animal with an idea of fertility.

In Christianity, it symbolises abundance and faith. The ichthus (from ancient Greek ἰχθύς / ikhthús, "fish") is a symbol used by early Christians as a sign of recognition and represents the Savior. It is an acronym for Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

In Judaism, at the Creation of the world, God gave his blessing for three things, three days in a row: once for the creation of the fish, on the fifth day, once for Adam and Eve, on the sixth day, and once for Shabbat on the seventh day.

Fish is a sign of the chance of happiness and knowledge that embodies the transcendent life.

With all my heart I wish you find your Fish :).

I entered to the Fine Arts to try to know the limit of the Art... But when I found this quote from Confucius: « Joy is in everything what surrounds us, it is enough to know how to extract it. » I realized that it was the same for the Art.
